Alien Skin Arrested Over Death of Former Fangone Forest Dancer

Ugandan musician Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, has been arrested in connection with the death of Wilfred “Top Dancer” Namuwaya, police have confirmed.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, the singer was taken into custody on Wednesday and is currently detained at Katwe Police Station, where his statement is being recorded.

Police investigations link Mulwana and members of his crew to the abduction and assault of Namuwaya, a former Fangone Forest dancer. Reports indicate that Namuwaya was beaten, abandoned, and later died from injuries sustained during the attack. Authorities previously declared Mulwana and three associates — Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo — as wanted suspects in the case.

For weeks, speculation surrounded Alien Skin’s whereabouts. Despite being declared wanted, the singer continued to appear publicly, including at political events, raising questions about why he had not been apprehended sooner. Police had earlier denied claims of his arrest, urging the public to assist in locating him.

Mulwana will be presented before court once investigations are complete. He could face serious charges, including murder, abduction, and assault, depending on evidence gathered. Legal analysts predict the case will attract wide public attention given Alien Skin’s celebrity status and the violent nature of the allegations.

News of his arrest has sparked intense debate across social media, with some fans calling for due process while others demand justice for the late Top Dancer.

“This is a sensitive and high-profile case. We are still recording statements and gathering evidence. The public will be updated once the case file is forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions,” SSP Onyango told journalists.
