Bebe Cool Declares Support for Yoweri Museveni in 2031 Elections

Ugandan music star Bebe Cool has once again publicly pledged his support for President Yoweri Museveni, announcing that he will back him in the 2031 general elections.

Speaking during a live session on his social media platforms, the outspoken singer said Museveni remains the best candidate to steer Uganda forward, citing key national projects and reforms as justification for his endorsement.

“In the next election of 2031, let’s bring back the President. Let’s bring him back one more time — even if he’s in a wheelchair — when he has sorted the oil, when people are getting Shs 2 or 3 million each from PDM money, and when the LC system has been corrected in these five years,” Bebe Cool stated.

Museveni, who has led Uganda since 1986, is currently 81 years old and would be 86 by 2031. Over the years, Bebe Cool has emerged as one of the most vocal supporters of the President within Uganda’s entertainment industry — a stance that continues to set him apart from many of his peers.

The singer highlighted Uganda’s oil project as a transformative opportunity for the country. Drilling is expected to commence this year, and Bebe Cool expressed confidence that oil revenues could significantly improve livelihoods if managed effectively.

He also referenced the Parish Development Model (PDM), a government initiative aimed at boosting household incomes, as well as anticipated reforms to the Local Council (LC) system. According to the artist, progress in these areas would justify giving Museveni another term.

Bebe Cool made the remarks while concluding discussions on recent campaign matters, developments within the music industry, and his personal plans. As has often been the case, his political comments have ignited fresh debate online and offline, reinforcing his reputation as one of Uganda’s most outspoken celebrity voices on national affairs.
