Geosteady Opens Up About His Journey to Mental Wellness Through Rehabilitation

Celebrated Ugandan singer Geosteady has spoken candidly about his recent break from the public eye, revealing that he sought peace and healing through a period of rehabilitation. The artist, known for his soulful hits and emotional depth, shared that life’s overwhelming situations had taken a toll on his mental health, prompting him to step back and prioritize his well-being.

In an exclusive statement, Geosteady noted that his decision to enter rehab was not due to illness but a proactive step toward restoring peace in his life.

“It is mental health. Sometimes, when situations overwhelm you, it’s wise to step back from the public and recharge. Rehabilitation is not meant for the sick—it’s meant for people looking for peace,” he said. “We work for many years without rest, so sometimes it is important for artists to take a break.”

The singer acknowledged experiencing multiple mental health challenges and credited his close circle of friends and family for supporting him during the difficult period.

“I have received help from many people, including Humphrey Nabimanya, my sister Julian Katamba, my wife Hindu Asha, and many of my friends,” Geosteady shared during a press appearance on Wednesday.

He expressed deep gratitude to his wife, Hindu Asha, for standing by him through the highs and lows of his healing journey. Her unwavering support, alongside that of his friends, played a critical role in his rehabilitation process.

When asked about his relationship with his ex-partner, Prima Kardashi, Geosteady clarified that he had not been in contact with her during his time away.

“I was only in contact with my wife. I have not been in communication with Prima,” he stated.

Geosteady’s openness adds to the growing conversation around mental health, particularly in the entertainment industry, where artists often face immense pressure behind the scenes. His story is a reminder of the importance of self-care, rest, and seeking support when needed.

As fans welcome his return, Geosteady says he feels renewed and ready to continue his musical journey—this time, with a stronger focus on balance and mental wellness.
