Ugandan singer Geosteady has opened up about his painful past, revealing that he wouldn’t wish anyone to relive the experiences he went through during his struggles with substance abuse.
The celebrated artist was previously committed to a rehabilitation center in an effort to curb his addiction, a situation that unfortunately became a source of public ridicule. Speaking during a recent media interview, Geosteady said he is no longer bothered by judgment from the public, noting that he has worked hard to rebuild himself and become a better person.

Geosteady questioned why his past continues to be used against him, yet many people around the world are silently going through even worse situations.
“Everyone is free to judge and say whatever they want. People go through problems all the time, but if someone feels the issues I went through deserve to be talked about forever, then I don’t care,” he said.
Focused on the Future
As he prepares for his highly anticipated comeback concert, the singer cautioned the public against dragging him back into his past. He emphasized that he has moved on and is now focused on surviving, healing, and presenting a new version of himself to fans.
“I’m busy packaging my show and giving people a different side of me. Most times when you get through such things, you don’t deserve to be dragged back. I don’t need to be reminded of my past; I have to go forward and improve my life,” Geosteady explained.

He added that whatever people choose to say about him no longer affects him.
Addressing Addiction Rumours
Geosteady also admitted that life pressures pushed him into substance use but firmly denied claims that he had gone mad after failing to control his addiction to ice. He dismissed the rumours as baseless and said he would only address the matter fully when he feels ready.
“Only I know the truth, and I’m the only one who can explain it. I’m not willing to stand on that stage and get judged with negativity,” he stated.
As Geosteady stages his return to the music scene, the singer hopes fans will focus on his growth, resilience, and music rather than the struggles he has already overcome.
