Mami Deb and Prim Asiimwe Set to Redefine Fashion Commentary with New Show “Fashion X”

Uganda’s fashion conversation is about to get louder, sharper and unapologetically bold.

This Friday, media personalities Mami Deb and Prim Asiimwe officially unveil Fashion X, a new fashion critique andculture show premiering on Play It Loud. Designed to spotlight, question and celebrate style beyond the surface, Fashion X promises to change how fashion is discussed on screen in Uganda.

The show makes its grand debut at the most prestigious red carpet in the country — the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) Honorary Gala. As guests step onto the ASFAs red carpet, they won’t just be admired; they’ll be assessed, celebrated and talked about. With cameras rolling and Fashion X watching, every look will tell a story.

The ASFAs Honorary Gala takes place on Friday, 19th December, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, bringing together fashion, music and culture at the highest level. This year’s edition raises the bar with a historic first — the NRG Half Time Show, headlined by Vinka. The night will also feature performances from Elijah Kitaka, Karole Kasita, Tyra Chantey, and Kevin Kade from Rwanda, alongside electrifying dance acts by Valentino and music from DJ Vee and DJ Harold.

More than just an awards ceremony, this is a defining moment for Uganda’s fashion industry. With Fashion X officially open for business, the red carpet becomes a live runway where style meets critique and culture meets commentary.

Tickets are available at quicket.co.ug for UGX 250,000, while tables go for UGX 5,000,000.

Dress like it matters. Walk like it’s yours.

The ASFAs red carpet is ready — and Fashion X is watching.
