“‘Nkulowozaako Is Bigger Than His Last Five Years!’ – Eddy Kenzo’s Manager Beta Takes Aim at Bebe Cool”

Eddy Kenzo’s camp has once again fired shots at Bebe Cool, with his manager Muhumuza Martin Beta boldly claiming that Kenzo’s hit song “Nkulowozaako” is bigger and better than anything Bebe Cool has released over the past five years.

The long-standing rivalry between the two Ugandan music heavyweights continues to simmer, especially following tensions that surfaced during the NRM campaign period. At the time, Eddy Kenzo accused Bebe Cool’s team of deliberately sabotaging his performances by switching off sound whenever it was his turn to perform for the President. Although the issue was later resolved, the bad blood between the two camps never fully disappeared.

The latest exchange was sparked by Bebe Cool’s recently released “Bebe Cool List of 2025,” where he appeared to downplay Eddy Kenzo’s role in pushing for the Copyright Law to be signed. Bebe Cool questioned Kenzo’s understanding of how the copyright management system would track and distribute royalties—comments that did not sit well with Kenzo’s camp.

Speaking during an interview on NOW Media UG, Beta dismissed Bebe Cool’s opinions, arguing that the singer is not as big as he believes to be when it comes to commenting on every industry matter. He went on to directly compare Bebe Cool’s recent music output to Eddy Kenzo’s “Nkulowozaako,” insisting the comparison is not even close.

“Bebe Cool’s catalog in the past five years versus Nkulowozaako — Nkulowozaako is better,” Beta said.

“It doesn’t matter whether the songs are 20, 40, or even 70. Put them side by side with Nkulowozaako and judge for yourself.”

Beta also took aim at Bebe Cool’s “Break The Chains” album, dismissing it as largely underwhelming. According to him, only “Cheque” and “Circumference” managed to gain notable attention, mainly due to collaborations.

“Cheque by far has the most streams on the album,” Beta added.

“Circumference follows, but it is way behind. And honestly, if Joshua Baraka wasn’t on Cheque, it wouldn’t be anywhere.”

While acknowledging that his remarks may stir debate, Beta urged fans to do their own research before judging his statements, emphasizing that he was simply expressing his personal opinion.

The comments have once again reignited the Eddy Kenzo–Bebe Cool rivalry, keeping fans divided and the Ugandan music industry buzzing with heated debate.
