Police Hunt Zari’s Boyfriend Shakib Cham Over Munyonyo Robbery Case

Socialite Zari Hassan’s boyfriend, Shakib Cham, is now under police scrutiny following allegations linking him to a violent robbery and assault at Chezz Boss Mutoto Bar in Munyonyo, Kampala.

According to a police press statement, the attack occurred on 27th December 2025, when a group of men allegedly stormed the bar, assaulted patrons, and stole mobile phones and other valuables.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that a group of suspects, allegedly led by one Shakib, a businessman operating in the Kasanga area, descended on patrons at the bar, assaulted them, and robbed four victims of their mobile phones,” the police statement read.

A case of robbery and assault has been registered at Kabalagala Police Station, where investigations are ongoing. Police have confirmed that Shakib Cham has been summoned to report to the station to assist with inquiries.

Sources close to the incident suggest the attack may have been retaliatory, following reports that city tycoon Boss Mutoto had recently been seen socializing with Zari, fueling speculation and a storm of reactions on social media.

As detectives continue to pursue other suspects still at large, the scandal is intensifying, placing Shakib Cham’s name and reputation under public scrutiny.

Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
