Kampala, Uganda – August 7, 2025 – Ugandan socialite Sandra Teta has been released on police bond following a domestic incident in which she allegedly knocked her husband and father of her children, singer Weasel Manizo, in Munyonyo during the early hours of the morning.
The incident, which took place outside Shan’s Bar and Restaurant, left the Goodlyfe singer, real name Douglas Mayanja, with fractured legs after being hit by a white Mercedes-Benz reportedly driven by Sandra.
Sources indicate that Sandra had driven to the bar with the couple’s two children, intending to leave them in Weasel’s care. When Weasel objected, a heated argument reportedly ensued. In an attempt to stop her from leaving, Weasel is said to have stood in front of the vehicle before being knocked down.
Sandra Teta was later arrested and detained at Kabalagala Police Station. However, unconfirmed reports suggest that members of the Mayanja family, including Weasel’s mother Prossy Mayanja and his brother Pallaso, intervened and facilitated her release on bond.
Following her release, Sandra wasted no time and proceeded to visit Weasel at the hospital along with their children, where she checked on his current condition.
Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing, as the public continues to express mixed reactions on social media regarding the family’s domestic issues.
Weasel Manizo remains hospitalized as he awaits further medical attention and possible surgery for his injuries.
