Spice Diana Dismisses Claims Artists Lose Relevance After Management Changes

Ugandan songstress Spice Diana has pushed back against the long-held belief that artists lose relevance after parting ways with long-time managers, saying her journey will prove critics wrong.

Speaking days after confirming her split with manager Roger Lubega, the singer described claims that artists “fade” after management changes as outdated and misguided.

Spice Diana and Lubega quietly went their separate ways nearly a year ago, ending a professional relationship that spanned more than a decade. The split, however, was only made public this week.

According to the singer, changing management is no different from people changing jobs in search of better opportunities. She dismissed the narrative that such transitions automatically lead to failure.

“That’s a very ancient mentality,” Spice Diana said, adding that people who move on in their careers often grow and improve rather than flop.

She also had strong words for critics quick to predict her downfall, urging them to stop making assumptions about her future.

“Stop thinking for people and their lives. You’re just a human being like me. Nobody knows my future, so you leave it to God to decide. At the end of the day, all of us are just passers in this life,” she remarked.

Reflecting on her journey, Spice Diana noted that life is unpredictable and full of unexpected turns. She revealed that when she was starting out, she never imagined she would one day work with Roger Lubega, but remains grateful for what they achieved together.

The singer credited her former managers for playing key roles at different stages of her career. She first worked with Emma Carlos, whom she says elevated her to a new level, before teaming up with Lubega, who helped place her in a strong position within the industry.

Now entering a new chapter, Spice Diana revealed she is currently working with Ganto and Frank Mars—people she trusts and believes have already done commendable work.

With confidence and gratitude for her past, the singer insists her story is far from over, hinting that the next phase of her career could be even bigger.
