Executive Director Anko Jay Meets Prezo in Nairobi as Kampala–Nairobi Music Industry Grows Stronger

LMS Hub , under the leadership of its Executive Director Julius Bologna Kayiira, popularly known as Anko Jay, has made a strong statement in the East African entertainment space after holding a strategic meeting with Kenyan star Prezo in Nairobi.

The meeting has created buzz within local industry circles, with many viewing it as a positive step toward strengthening Kampala–Nairobi music connections. Uganda and Kenya continue to lead the region in urban music influence, and engagements like this reflect a shared commitment to growing the East African sound from within.

Sources familiar with the meeting say the conversation focused on growing the music business locally, supporting young talent, cross-border collaborations, and building solid creative networks between Kampala and Nairobi. The goal is to create systems that benefit artists, producers, and industry players across both markets.

With Nairobi serving as a key regional hub and Kampala producing some of the region’s most exciting talent, the meeting is expected to open doors for local collaborations, joint performances, regional tours, and shared promotion platforms.

As Executive Director of LMS Hub, Anko Jay has continued to raise his profile as one of Uganda’s most focused music executives. Known for his hands-on approach, he has been involved in the success of popular songs such as “Nkuwulira,” “Sijja” by Dokta Brain, and “Che Che” by Fyno UG, produced by in-house producer Kingdom under his creative guidance.

He is also active on the management side, currently managing Feffe Bussi and Fraso, while quietly supporting and protecting several upcoming artists within the LMS Hub circle.

Under Anko Jay’s leadership, LMS Hub continues to grow its creative team. WANI Production stands as the label’s main professional producer, working alongside rising producers Success and E-Know Keys, all contributing to the development of what many fans now call the new Uganda sound.

As news of the Nairobi meeting spreads across the region, industry watchers believe it could be the start of bigger regional moves, including structured collaborations, brand partnerships, and long-term music business growth between Uganda and Kenya.

As competition in the East African music scene increases, one thing is clear: the Kampala–Nairobi music bridge is active and growing, and with Anko Jay at the helm, LMS Hub is steadily positioning itself as a serious force in the region’s music industry.
