Jamaican Dancehall Star Spice Confirmed for Uganda Show in May 2026

Jamaican dancehall heavyweight Spice, born Grace Latoya Hamilton, is officially set to perform in Uganda on 09 May 2026, according to the latest communication from event organizers.

The “So Mi Like It” hitmaker was initially scheduled to headline a major show in Uganda on 06 December 2025 at the iconic Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala. The highly anticipated concert was expected to feature some of Uganda’s top female artists, including Sheebah Karungi, Winnie Nwagi, and Cindy Sanyu.

However, just days before the December event, Spice withdrew from the lineup. Taking to her social media platforms, she announced that she would no longer be part of the arrangement, sparking concern among fans who had been eagerly awaiting her performance

In a follow-up statement, the event organizers urged partygoers to remain calm, assuring them that the dancehall queen would still make her way to Uganda after the recently concluded January 2026 general elections.

The latest update now confirms that Spice will grace the Ugandan stage on 09 May 2026. While excitement continues to build among her fanbase, key details such as the venue and ticket pricing remain undisclosed at press time. The recently circulated promotional poster does not specify this information.

Organizers have promised to release further details in due course. Stay tuned for updates on venue confirmation, ticketing, and supporting acts as the countdown to May 2026 begins.
