Three suspects arrested as investigations into aggravated robbery and murder continue
Uganda Police have issued an official statement confirming the murder of popular 24-year-old Ugandan content creator and businesswoman, Diana Namulinde, widely known as Ka Richwife, following a suspected aggravated robbery at her residence in Kyanja, Kampala.
The tragic news sent shockwaves across social media on Wednesday after reports emerged that Namulinde had been found dead in her rented apartment. According to police, the incident occurred on the night of 3rd February 2026 in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division.
Police revealed that the deceased, who was living alone, is believed to have been robbed and strangled after unknown assailants broke into her home. Her body was discovered on 4th February 2026 after concerned friends went to check on her and found the apartment door open.

In a statement released earlier today, police confirmed that investigations are progressing, with three suspects identified so far. Two suspects are already in custody, including the apartment’s security guard (askari), who was arrested after being found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen from the deceased. Some of the recovered items were later positively identified as Namulinde’s belongings.
A team of homicide detectives, together with Scene of Crime Officers, visited and documented the scene, recovered several exhibits, and recorded statements from key witnesses. The body was later conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Diana Namulinde was widely admired by fans and fellow creatives, many of whom have described her as kindhearted, fashion-forward, and inspirational, with a growing influence in Uganda’s digital content space.

Police say investigations into the murder are ongoing.
The statement was signed by ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer, Kampala Metropolitan Police.
